How do I use a 1688 share link or taokouling code?

Paste the whole string into the BuyCN search box. Both 1688 and Taobao share strings are parsed automatically; if no exact match is found, the system falls back to a keyword search instead of an error.

How is the final price calculated?

Only the freight estimator gives live numbers: supplier price plus domestic shipping plus international freight by channel, plus destination duties if any. Example figures in articles are illustrations, not quotes.

Do you support both 1688 and Taobao links?

Yes — both platforms’ share links and codes are auto-parsed the same way, and unmatched items fall back to search so the order can still proceed.

Can I consolidate several 1688 orders and ship to my country?

Yes — parcels arrive at the China warehouse with free QC photos, you consolidate them into one box, pay the international freight, and we ship to 30+ countries.

What is a 1688 share link (taokouling)?

Inside the 1688 app, the Share button produces a short coded message — shoppers call it a taokouling (口令) — that looks like a bracketed prompt such as 【1688】 followed by a string of letters and numbers. Alongside plain product URLs, these share strings are the main way buyers pass items around on 1688. BuyCN parses both formats automatically: paste the whole string into the search box and the product is located for you; if the exact item cannot be matched, the parser falls back to a keyword search so you never hit a dead end.

Step 1 — Copy the share link or taokouling

Open the product page in the 1688 app and tap Share. Copy the entire share string exactly as generated (brackets, punctuation and all), or copy the plain product URL from the browser address bar if you are on desktop. Do not trim the string — the parser reads the code inside it.

Step 2 — Paste it on BuyCN

Register on BuyCN, then either paste the string into the search box for an instant product lookup, or go to your Shopping Cart, choose "custom purchase" and paste it there. Both 1688 and Taobao share strings are parsed the same way; the product title, supplier and tiered pricing are filled in automatically, and you set the quantity.

Step 3 — Check the landed cost

The supplier price is only one part of the total. Use our freight estimator to see live international shipping quotes by channel and weight for your destination. What you see at checkout is what you pay — no hidden markup at the payment step.

Cost item	How it is set	When you pay it
Product price	Listed by the 1688 supplier, tiered by order quantity	At order submission
China domestic shipping	Set by the supplier to our warehouse	At order submission
International freight	Live quotes in the <a href="/estimate">freight estimator</a>, by channel and weight	Before dispatch from the warehouse
Duties / taxes	Per destination-country rules	If charged at customs — clearance actuals prevail

Step 4 — Consolidate and ship worldwide

Order from as many 1688 suppliers as you like. Every parcel arrives at our China warehouse, gets free QC photos, and can be consolidated into one box to save on international freight. Pick a shipping channel, pay the freight, and we dispatch to 30+ countries.

Free storage, QC photos and human support

Storage terms (rendered live from site settings, not hardcoded): intake QC photos are free; parcels stay free for the first 90 days within a total storage window of 90 days; after the free window storage is 0.1 yuan per item per day against the current published cap. The service fee is currently waived.

Pitfalls to avoid

1688 is a wholesale marketplace: many listings are tiered by quantity, so check the minimum order quantity (MOQ) before submitting a link, and message-supported variants (size, color, voltage) should be confirmed in the remark field at submission. Custom and made-to-order items can carry production lead times — ask before paying, and use the free storage window to wait for multiple parcels to arrive before consolidating. Final landed cost always comes from the live estimator quote and destination duties: the estimator and checkout figures prevail over any example numbers anywhere.
